Thamna (Gen 38:12) where Judah went to shear his sheep. And today there is still a large village in the boundaries of Diospolis on the way to Jerusalem. It belonged to the tribe of Dan or of Judah. (Eusebius, Onomasticon 96:24-26; Jerome 97:20-21) |
