In light of the general feeling of optimism before the New Year, it seemed a fitting idea to upload a new photo each day, representing the "people" side of life in the Gav haHar Settlements in the Shomron.

We built the first month's calendar page, and started uploading daily snaps... but almost immediately the world fell on it's head, bullets started screaming, and people dying, and instead of smiling settlers, the days were filled with fire and funerals.

Many, many times I wanted to stop, but as if trapped in a nightmare- the scenes of destruction refused to stop.

Finally, the year 5761 reached it's conclusion, but the war...

In any event, we have stopped uploading a picture each day, and will try for the new year to concentrate on capturing occasional special moments and views.
